Giving the Gift of Sight...
In
the spring of 2007, Stephanie introduced a new project that, at the time,
was intended to be a short-term project. She learned that Pearle
Vision collects used prescription eyeglasses and sends them to
"New Eyes for the Needy", where they are recycled and distributed
to charities, medical missions and hospitals in more than 30 countries
around the world, including the U.S. She set out to help and asked all of
you to join her. Her goal last year was to collect and donate one hundred
used glasses by the end of the summer. The project did so well that we
decided to make it one of our ongoing projects. We are very proud to report
that she has exceeded all her expectations and has donated over
931
used prescription eyeglasses to this very worthy cause. Stephanie has
worked very hard on this project, but she would like to thank all the donors
that have helped her make this project a success.
If you have old, no longer used prescription glasses around the house,
contact us so we can get them to someone that can benefit from them.
